No excuses, I just have been neglecting the whole blog thing! This year we spent Memorial Day at the lake at Tom and Shelley's cabin with the whole clan. We had a great time and it was so much fun getting to watch Katelynn and Ellen (our niece) play in the lake and go for rides on the boats. For all of you nervous mommy's out there, they had on a life jacket at all times if we were going down to the dock. This weekend also ended up splitting Shelley and Weldon's birthdays so we celebrated with a cake that I had been dying to try to make. I must say it was a success!!!! The first day (Saturday) was split up by the girls getting go and host a baby shower for our precious cousin, Kristen, in Azle. A little side note on that, Wyatt Hunter was born yesterday and is doing wonderful and Kristen is also doing well! While the girls did baby things the boys went and played in a golf tournament that benefited one of David's close friends who is battling a terrible disease. Sunday we went straight out to the lake and got to enjoy hamburgers and hot dogs and then some much needed water time. That night we also had a smores roast and it was so much fun. Katelynn LOVED the marshmallows and also LOVED the fire which made this momma VERY nervous! No injuries just a few minor heart attacks on my part.
